Local Bar Associations
The African American Lawyers Association of Hawaii (AALA) is one of the major associations in Hawaii that focuses on increasing the role of African Americans in the legal community. The core mission of the organization is to encourage African American lawyers in Hawaii and to focus on the issues that affect the African American community. The African American Lawyers Association of Hawaii consists of lawyers, judges, and law students. The bar association supports its members through networking events, continuing legal education seminars, and scholarships and grants for high school students interested in the legal field.
The Hawaii Filipino Lawyers Association was founded over 40 years ago to support lawyers of Filipino heritage in their efforts to make a difference in Hawaii's legal community.

The Korean American Bar Association Hawaii (KABAH) is a nonprofit organization composed primarily of Korean American attorneys. KABAH provides a networking resource to its members and serves the community by hosting and participating in educational, community and social events throughout the year. KABAH also participates in free legal clinics.
The Native Hawaiian Bar Association is an association of lawyers, judges and other legal professionals of Hawaiian ancestry that promotes excellence, unity, cooperation, education and the exchange of ideas among its members and in the larger community.
