Diversity Statement

Gender Equality Committee

This committee investigates issues of gender discrimination and equality in the legal profession and in the legal system. The committee may undertake projects as deemed necessary or appropriate to ensure fair treatment and equality of all members of the legal profession and all participants in the legal system. The focus for this committee includes follow-up to the findings of the latest NHBA Gender Equality Survey, including development of a proposed voluntary certification process of non-discriminatory, family-friendly employment policies for legal employers to be presented to the NHBA Board of Governors.

Special Committee on Attorney Wellness

This committee makes recommendations to educate the legal community on wellness issues and to improve the overall wellness of attorneys, judges, and other members of the legal community. The committee promotes wellness programming and resources. The committee encourages collaboration between the Bench and Bar to support wellness initiatives.

Local Bar Associations

New Hampshire Women’s Bar Association

The NHWBA was established in 1998. We are committed to achieving gender equity in the legal profession by promoting the advancement and interests of women through leadership, professional development, and education.

We offer our members opportunities for personal and professional growth through networking and professional development forums, continuing legal education seminars, and public service initiatives that focus on improving the lives of women and children in New Hampshire.
